2:05pm. It's Hump Day, which also happens to be the midpoint of my vacation. I took the week off of work for my birthday.
Nothing new has been happening in the world... Well, that's a lie, lol! A lot has been happening. I can't remember the last time I actually posted on any of my sites. I'm slowing drifting away from the web. I'm slowing drifting away from life. So let me recap. read article
I finally did it! I photoshopped my brother into the family photo that he missed out on. It was a quick edit, but I will be going back to tweak it. Either way...my mother is happy.
Last month, I received a VEET EasyWax kit to test and review for VEET & Influenster. I've tried at-home wax kits in the past, but none of them worked well for me. No harm in giving this a try, right?
The kit includes a warmer & base, a refill, waxing strips, and finishing wipes. It was only supposed to take thirty minutes to warm up, but I ended up waiting longer than an hour. Even at that time, it did not roll on smoothly. I was left with patches of hair on my legs that I couldn't go over again.
I'm pretty disappointed in the VEET EasyWax kit. Unfortunately, I can't find myself recommending it to anyone...unless you get it for free.

It's been a long time since I've been able to post. So much has been going on with work and the family. I still haven't managed to find that perfect work/life balance. It seems as if there aren't enough hours in the day.
My father-in-law passed away on Memorial Day. I've been helping J deal with that. I can't imagine what it feels like to lose both parents. Daddy Blake will be missed. He's one of the first in J's family to accept me wholeheartedly as a part of his son's life. For that, I will always be grateful.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to get here next. I have a review to do for Influenster, so maybe by the end of the month.
Happy Sunday, lovelies! It's been a while since my last update. I'm back to work as of last week[1. That deserves a post to itself...]!
I enjoyed my weekend as much as I could. Both Ivy & JJ picked up colds during their first week at daycare. JJ is doing better, but Ivy is pretty miserable at this point. She also has her sickle cell appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping and praying that she does not have it, but we'll see tomorrow.
I set up the tripod today and took some self portraits and some photos with the kids. I set up a photo blog, so you can view them all over here, if you would like to.
